This 2-hour workshop is focused on building your trouble-shooting skill set. Together we will break down the way that knit fabric is constructed so that students will begin to read their knitting and diagnose their own mistakes. Then we’ll practice a variety of methods to fix some of the most common problems knitters run into.

Teacher for this class is Hadley Mendoza Miklos.

We ask that supplies for class are purchased with us. Mention your class sign up at check out to receive 10% off your class supplies and as a thank you for taking a class with us, we offer 10% off purchases made the day of class.

Students will need a 4 x 4 inch stockinette swatch knit from a light color worsted weight yarn that you are willing to cut. The swatch should still be live on size US 8 needles. In addition, please have: worsted weight yarn of another color, fingering weight yarn, spare US 6, US 7 and US 8 needles, a darning needle, and a small crochet hook or fix-it tool. Students are welcome to bring a project that has stalled and Hadley will help you in applying what you’ve just learned after the formal workshop is complete.

Items needed during class :

  • 4 x 4 stockinette square on the needles
  • worsted weight yarn for knitting the above square
  • needles in sizes US 6, 7, 8
